President Bush, continuing a custom started by Ronald Reagan, left a note in the Oval Office for President-elect Barack Obama to wish him well, the AP is reporting.
The White House declined to provide details about the contents of the note.
Some excerpts from the note:

Keep an eye on Sarkozy. He’s French, you know.
If you ever get tongue-tied during a speech, just stop and give a thoughtful look. Nobody will notice your mistake.
You’ve heard about this guy who always carries “the football.” Well, it ain’t a real football, just a bunch of codes and such.
