Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is praising President Obama, just days after saying Obama carries “the stink” of former President Bush and has been “throwing stones” at his country, Reuters is reporting.

Chavez, who once called Bush “the devil” at a U.N. meeting,” praised Obama’s decision to close the U.S. military detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Chavez’s change of heart seems influenced by Fidel Castro, the ailing former Cuban leader who recently praised Obama.

So is this more good news for the Obama administration from the socialist/communist set?

I don’t know if you can trust a world leader who doesn’t stick by his insults.  Like if the pope suddenly said, “You know, Satan isn’t so bad.  He’s just misunderstood.”
