New York Gov. is expected to announce that he will appoint Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton, the New York Times is reporting.
Known as a centrist, Gillibrand represents the Albany area and has upset some Democratic liberals because she opposes gun control.

After all the hubbub over Caroline Kennedy and New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo being considered for the appointment, you can’t really blame people for saying, “Who? Gillibrand?”
