The NHL has suspended Ottawa Senators forward Jarko Ruutu for biting the gloved hand of an opposing player during a game Tuesday, the AP is reporting.
Hockey fans and reporters are calling Ruutu a “thug,” but I don’t know if that really applies. He can’t be much of a hockey thug if he still has his front teeth.

The NHL suspended Ruutu for two games. The offficial terminology for the suspension is “giving him a time out.”
The opposing team won that game, and the lesson that Ruutu is supposed to learn is “never bite the hand that leads you.”
