Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele will likely face a no-confidence vote orchestrated by the runner up for his post, Taegan Goddard’s Political Wire is reporting.
Katon Dawson, who finished second in the vote for RNC chief, has been stealthily arranging the vote with state party chiefs who are not happy with Steele’s leadership, according to Republican sources.
The no-confidence vote is expected after the election to fill the U.S. House seat vacated by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, New York Democrat, even if the GOP wins the election.
Who says the GOP is disorganized and unfocused? They seem to be pretty well organized and focused — on something.
You know, the Republicans’ squabbles and foibles in their leadership are really helping them — them Democrats.
Eventually, the Republicans will have to come with ideas, solutions and policies that attract a significant number of voters, right? Or will they continue to rely on Rush Limbaugh for that?
