A bill in the Florida Senate would allow University of Florida alumni to rest in peace on the university’s campus, the Gainesville Sun is reporting.
The bill would allow any of Florida’s state universities to construct a columbarium to house cremated remains. Alumni could pay up to $5,000 to have their remains interred there.

This is really good news for Gator fans because there isn’t a whole lot else to do in Gainesville.
When I attended UF, it was the No. 1 party school in the country. A columbarium might put a damper on things. It also would give new meaning to “getting toasted.”
