One down, two to go.
The Washington Wizards and All-Star forward Antawn Jamison have come to an agreement on a four-year deal worth roughly $50 million, according to team sources.
Jamison, 32, is coming off of a 21.4, 10.2 season that saw him earn his second All-Star appearance. By re-signing him today, beating the midnight deadline that signals the beginning of free agency, the Wizards avoided having to worry about out-bidding teams had Jamison become an unrestricted free agent, which would have happened had he not signed today.
Now the Wizards can turn their attention to re-signing Gilbert Arenas, who is seeking a long-term deal that could exceed $120 million, and Roger Mason Jr., who had a career year with 9.1 points off the bench.
