Put this in the “some people will buy just about anything” category.

An anonymous bidder recently shelled out $55,000 for the dress shirt worn by Doc Rivers during the Celtics title-clinching win over the Lakers last week. The white ECC Life and Style shirt features mother-of-pearl buttons, hand-cut and turned cuffs, a hand-cut collar and a monogram.

Oh, and it’s got Gatorade all over it from when the Celtics’ Paul Pierce doused his head coach after the win.

All of the money will go to the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, which provides health care, shelter and other services to kids in the Boston area.
