In the midst of the National Endowment for the Arts controversy, their former communications director Yosi Sergant has submitted his resignation. The NEA’s Sally Gifford sent the Washington Times the following release.:
A statement from the National Endowment for the Arts
This afternoon Yosi Sergant submitted his resignation from the National Endowment for the Arts. His resignation has been accepted and is effective immediately.
This statement comes on the heels of the NEA’s Rocco Landesman’s response to the August 10 and August 27 conference calls. White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton also released a memo of guidelines for public outreach meetings from the White House’s Counsel to the President Greg Craig and Special Counsel to the President Norman Eisen.
