Rep. Paul Ryan, the VP pick on the GOP presidential ticket, has been attacked for his budget plan that includes a solution to the medicare crisis that will not affect current seniors. However,  Mr. Ryan has raised more money from those who are retired than any other member of House.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics’s Open Secret’s website Ryan’s campaign committee raised $382,094 from that demographic.

From the looks of these numbers, it does not seem as if Mr. Ryan is scaring off many seniors from supporting his campaigns. Ryan has defied odds before, as he has run in a Democratic Wisconsin leaning district and won seven times with at least 57 percent of the vote each term.
