Top of the morning folks. With the season starting shortly (for Navy, practice starts today; for Maryland, it will come on Monday), it’s time to debut the most basic thing in blogging: The daily links post.

Yesterday was Navy media day in Annapolis (more from me on that later), but here’s what some other scribes came up with for the occasion.


Colleague Mike Fratto knows Navy’s senior class doesn’t want to lose the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy.

The Baltimore Sun’s Don Markus notes the return of Clint Sovie and Jeff Deliz from injury should boost the Mids’ defense.Camille Powell of the Washington Post points out there will be some tweaks —- but not a major overhaul —- under first-year coach Ken Niumatalolo.
