So, who’s looking forward to some Friday night hoops?

Guess Maryland fans should be, since Vermont will be visiting Comcast Center on the Friday before Thanksgiving. That’s Nov. 21 for those who need a more precise spot on the Gregorian calendar to work with.

So here’s an updated nonconference schedule for Maryland, based on all that’s floating around so far. The Terps will have as many as 14 nonconference games to go with their 16-game ACC schedule.

Nov. 21: vs. Vermont

Nov. 27-30: Old Spice Classic (three games)

Dec. 3: vs. Michigan

Dec. 7: vs. George Washington (BB&T Classic-Verizon Center)

Jan. 3: vs. Charlotte

TBA: vs. Bryant

That leaves six games to go. Maryland’s ACC schedule, by the way, features home-and-homes with Duke, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Miami and North Carolina; road-only games against Clemson, Florida State and N.C. State; and home-only games against Boston College, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Oh, and another Vermont note: The Catamounts’ season opener is Nov. 15 at home against George Mason.
