GREENSBORO, Ga. —- The sun is shining brightly, and many of the folks down here for the ACC Kickoff are off playing golf.

Meanwhile, you’re stuck with me at my laptop.

(Golf, after all, is a game that requires time, money and patience. The latter two are in especially short supply for me, and the prospect of spending a lot of money to tax my patience just doesn’t seem like a bright idea).

Anyway, today’s schedule is pretty basic. Once everyone makes it back inside and gets a bite to eat, it’ll be mid-afternoon. And at that point, the coaches will meet with the media; the Coastal Division goes first, and then the Atlantic Division. That means Ralph Friedgen will be playing the role of raconteur of his summer adventures starting around 5:15 p.m. with the print media.

Til then, I’ll have some highlights from Jeremy Navarre and Edwin Williams from yesterday, not to mention the promised preseason projections for awards winners in the conference.
