Maryland shot 72.7 percent from beyond the 3-point line Tuesday against Clemson.
The Terps, understandably, don’t reach that percentage from the perimeter very often —- exactly four times since the start of the 1998-99 season.

Unsurprisingly, a high 3-point shooting percentage is a harbinger of success for Maryland (and probably most other teams). Over the last 14 seasons, the Terps are 28-1 when they shoot at least 60 percent from the outside. The lone loss came against eventual national champion North Carolina in 2005.
