It was a very good Thursday night for James Padgett.

He had 15 points and five rebounds in the second half after coming off the bench. That much was obvious.

But Maryland also played exceptionally with him on the floor of an 81-65 defeat of Boston College.

Padgett was a whopping plus-26, which is the best individual game for a Terrapin all season in the category. Three of the top six plus-minus numbers were achieved Thursday:

26: James Padgett vs. Boston College

20: Terrell Stoglin vs. Cornell

18: Nick Faust vs. Boston College

17: Berend Weijs vs. Albany

16: Alex Len vs. Cornell
16:
Sean Mosley vs. Boston College

15: Alex Len vs. Georgia Tech

14: Nick Faust vs. Samford
14: Sean Mosley vs. Georgia Tech

13: Ashton Pankey vs. Colorado
13:
Terrell Stoglin vs. Samford
13: Alex Len vs. Boston College

It’s hardly an end-all, be-all stat, and single-game numbers can get skewed (Stoglin, despite his 24 points, was just plus-3 against the Eagles). But there’s no denying the Terps played exceptionally well in Padgett’s 27-minute stint.
