Like the rest of the ACC, Maryland had its football schedule announced today. A few thoughts after the full list:
Sept. 1: William & Mary
Sept. 8: at Temple
Sept. 15: Connecticut
Sept. 22: at West Virginia
SEE RELATED:
Oct. 6: Wake Forest
Oct. 13: at Virginia
Oct. 20: N.C. State
Oct. 27: at Boston College
Nov. 3: Georgia Tech
Nov. 10: at Clemson
Nov. 17: Florida State
Nov. 24: at North Carolina
* The Connecticut series (Maryland heads to the Nutmeg State in 2013) was set several years ago. Before Kevin Anderson was hired at Maryland. Well before Randy Edsall left Storrs for his dream job at Maryland.
* At first glance, Maryland would be wise to get while the getting is good. The Clemson-Florida State punch in consecutive weeks won’t be easy.
* Maryland does not have a Labor Day game for the first time in three years. It does not have a Thursday night game, either. The Terps last played on a Thursday in 2008.
* North Carolina is Maryland’s final regular season opponent for the first time.
