Maryland point guard Pe’Shon Howard is expected to return to the Terrapins’ starting lineup when North Carolina visits on Saturday.

Howard came off the bench for the first time since Dec. 23 in Wednesday’s 90-86 loss to Miami. He still played a career-high 43 minutes and matched his career high with eight assists.

Coach Mark Turgeon didn’t elaborate on why Howard came off the bench but indicated he should be back in his usual spot as the Terps’ starting point guard.

“Yes, he should be,” Turgeon said. “If he doesn’t screw up between now and tomorrow, he should be.”
