Maryland coach Mark Turgeon said Monday he anticipates center Alex Len will be available to play Wednesday against Duke,

Len suffered a right ankle injury in Saturday’s 73-60 loss to Temple and did not play in the second half.

“We’ll see when practice comes around today if he’s able to go,” Turgeon said. “He’s a little sore and got treatment yesterday and is in class all day today. I expect him to play Wednesday. How much and how healthy he is, well see. That will change between now and Wednesday.”

Len has struggled on offense the last four games, but the 7-foot-1 Ukrainian remains a stout defensive presence and especially important against a team like Duke not lacking for size thanks to the presence of Mason and Miles Plumlee and Ryan Kelly.
