Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds was named the major college independents player of the week.
Reynolds was 6-for-11 for 134 yards and three touchdowns and added 24 carries for 59 yards in Friday’s 31-13 victory at Central Michigan in his first career start. He was the first freshman quarterback to start for the Midshipmen since 1991.

Reynolds was also the first Mids quarterback to throw for three touchdown passes since 1997.
Reynolds is the first Navy offensive player to earn a player of the week honor this season. The weekly independents awards include players from Army, Brigham Young, Navy and Notre Dame.
