Maryland quarterback Perry Hills was named the ACC’s rookie of the week.
The freshman completed 11 of 21 passes for 190 yards for two touchdowns and rushed for another score in Maryland’s 36-27 victory at Temple.

Hills is the first Maryland player to earn the honor since linebacker Alex Twine collected it for a 12-tackle performance against Notre Dame last season. He is the first Terp offensive player to receive rookie of the week plaudits since Danny O’Brien won the award five times in 2010.
