The Imperial Hotel Chestertown is launching an incredible summer of wine tasting events entitled Grapes, Vine and Wines.  Mark these dates on your calendar and remember, you need to make a reservation to attend any tasting event.

Reservations Required for Wine Tastings. Tastings are held on Tuesdays and begin at 6:30 p.m. $12.00 per person.
 
June 2  - The Wonder of Wine
A course in Wine Tasting 101, this evening will provide an introduction to wine appreciation that includes a tasting of the six classic grape varieties.
 
June 9 - “Varietal” Variety
A tasting of popular grape varieties that offers options to the old standards
 
June 30 - Popular New Varietals
Explore the flavors and regions of the new popular grape varieties and the wines they produce

July 7 - The Wines of Spain
Spain is one of the most widely planted wine regions in the world. This tasting will feature some of the countries most popular regions and wines.

& Bastille Day BBQ

Tasting 6:30 p.m.; Dinner 7:30 p.m.
 A celebration of France’s Independence Day with a tasting of the countries most popular wine regions, followed by a French BBQ in the Courtyard

July 21 - The Wines of Germany
Germany produces wonderful white wines with an affinity to food. Enjoy a tasting of the Mosel, Rhine and Pfalz Wines from this classic wine region
 
July 28 - The Wines of Italy
Italy is one of the oldest wine regions in the world and the art of viniculture encompass the whole of the Country. Indulge in this tasting of classic Italian grape varieties.

August 25 - The Wines of South Africa
Since 1994, the post-apartheid era in South Africa has shown great strides in quality wine production and exportation. This tasting will represent a selection of wonderful wines.
