A new poll released Thursday found that voters are more confident in likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s ability to strengthen the nation’s economy than than they are in President Obama.
The Rasmussen Reports poll reported that when it comes to the economy 49 percent of likely voters trust Mr. Romney, while 39 percent prefer Mr. Obama.
This survey included 1,000 likely voters was conducted on April 10-11, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points
It reflected the findings of a Washington Post/ABC News poll released earlier this week that showed 47 percent of the respondents said that they’d trust Mr. Romney to do a better job handling the economy, while 43 percent sided with Mr. Obama.
