An anti-abortion protester was forcibly removed from the Senate’s public gallery Friday after he began shouting just as the Senate recessed for lunch.

The man struggled with police, who carried him out out the balcony seating area shortly before 1 pm. The man, who frequently has protested outside the Capitol, lost his shirt in the tussle and continued shouting anti-abortion and pro-Christian statements as he was handcuffed in the hallway outside the chamber.

“Repent and believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!” he shouted. “Three-thousand babies die every day because of abortion!”

Handcuffed and waiting with this police escorts for an elevator just outside the chamber, the man faced a group of reporters and shouted; “Stop Obama, stop Congress, stop Planned Parenthood!”
