Texas Gov. Rick Perry is returning to South Carolina Tuesday to help raise money for the state Republican party.

The Associated Press reported that Mr. Perry will headline a Republican event and dinner in Spartanburg Expo Center, where tickets are running from $60 for general admission and dinner to $5,000 for a 10-ticket package, dinner and private reception with Mr. Perry.

Mr. Perry is pondering a bid for president in 2016 and could be looking to rebound from his 2012 campaign, which unraveled in dramatic fashion after he entered the race with high expectations.

Mr. Perry dropped out of the race before South Carolina’s primary — the third stop on the nomination calendar — and endorsed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who went on to win the state’s primary.
