Rep. Frank Pallone, New Jersey Democrat, said Wednesday he thinks the committee investigating Gov. Chris Christie and the closed lanes on the George Washington Bridge will eventually dig into other scandals that have come up.
“They may start out looking at the George Washington Bridge but I’m sure they’ll then get into what happened in Hoboken,” he said on MSNBC. “I think they’ll probably look even beyond that,” to include misuse of Sandy funds, like the tourism commercials that featured Mr. Christie and his family.
While some Republicans have criticized the investigating committee because the majority of its members are Democrats, Mr. Pallone said all committees, including those in the U.S. House, give more seats to the majority party.
“Because it’s an investigation, people are going to put politics aside to some extent,” he said.
