Who will be the third wide receiver behind Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle El? How fast can Jason Campbell master Jim Zorn’s West Coast attack? When will the call from London Fletcher’s wife come?

That’s right, there’s another story to add to the boiling pot of training camp subplots.

The veteran linebacker and his wife, Charne, are expecting their second child at any minute. Fletcher says that when the moment comes, he’ll be ready. Fletcher plans on taking a break from cracking heads to welcome another life into this world.

“I’ll be there,” Fletcher said Saturday. “She has the phone numbers to get in contact with me when I am on the practice field.”

Charne’s sister has traveled to Ashburn to help out, just in case Fletcher gets tied up at the office.

“Our first child was born during the offseason, so I didn’t have to worry about being on the practice field,” Fletcher said. “She called me the other day when I was working out and thought her water had broke, so that kind of through me for a loop.”

Fletcher said the birth of his first son could be a welcome respite from two-a-day drudgery.

“I was hoping maybe the second week of practice when your legs are a little bit tired,” Fletcher said.
