Buzbee's season over

Coach Jim Zorn just confirmed that Alex Buzbee (ruptured right Achilles’) joined fellow defensive end Phillip Daniels (torn left ACL) in suffering a season-ending injury today on the first day of training camp.

Meanwhile: Executive vice president Vinny Cerrato denied that the Redskins have talked to the Miami Dolphins about trading for disgruntled six-time Pro Bowl end Jason Taylor. The Redskins will bring back rookie free agent end J.T. Mapu and will work out a veteran on Monday, but for now career backup Demetric Ecans inherits Daniels’ starting left end job.
