For a $100 annual membership, fans will get a special Redskins branded FLO card, which can be used to move more quickly through security lines at 19 airports, including Reagan and Dulles. The same card will allow fans access to a specially marked “Fast Lane” stadium gate at FedEx Field. (No word on whether the card can be used to bypass heavy traffic near Redskins Park on Fan Appreciation Day.)
“I am excited to bring red-carpet treatment to FedEx Field on game day for thousands of loyal Redskins’ fans,” Redskins Chief Operating Officer Mitch Gershman said in a press release. “This affordable and innovative new service enables the average fan to enjoy premier fast lane-access, a service not available at any other sports venue in the country.”
According to the Redskins, 60,000 Redskins fans took more than 10 plane trips in the U.S. last year, and more than 500,000 flew at least once for business purposes.
