Ultimate Origins No. 1

Ultimate Origins No. 1 ($2.99)

Originally seen as an attempt to cash in on Marvel’s movies, the Ultimate line has turned out some of the best Marvel stories ever. This week Marvel’s #1 writer, Brian Michael Bendis finally reveals the secret origins of the Ultimate Universe. Ultimate Origins will show us how Captain America, Wolverine, and Nick Fury’s origins are intertwined, going all the way back to WWII. Sweet art by Jackson Guice too.

Fables Vol.10 TP

Fables Vol.10 TP ($17.99)

Bill Willingham brings us his latest volume of grim fairy tales, and true to form, it’s even better than the last. You can’t really jump in with this volume, but this seemed like a good opportunity to plug the whole series. Go grab volume one of this series about fairy tale characters in exile in our world, and keep on trucking. Highly recommended for fans of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman who are looking for something new to try.
