NBA overturns Cuban: Mavericks must play national anthem

The NBA issued a statement Wednesday reminding all 30 teams in the league that playing the national anthem before games is required after news broke Tuesday that Dallas owner Mark Cuban had done away with the pregame tradition for the first 13 Mavericks home games this season.

Dallas Mavericks stop playing national anthem before games

The Dallas Mavericks haven't played the national anthem ahead of any of their 13 preseason and regular-season games at the American Airlines Center this season, and Dallas will continue that trend moving forward.
