RG3 braces himself as Redskins hope for an injury-free season

Opener vs. Eagles has an air of mystery for the Redskins

How do you prepare for something you have never seen? That was the conundrum all summer for the Washington Redskins coaching staff. REDSKINS 2013: Santana Moss setting standard for longevity

Entering his ninth year with the organization and 13th in the NFL, Moss' career numbers put him in elite company. He has appeared in 120 games with the Redskins. A healthy 2013 and Moss will have played more games in Washington than franchise legend Sonny Jurgensen (135).

RG3 will indeed start for the Redskins in season-opener vs. Philadelphia

Robert Griffin III will start the Washington Redskins' season-opener on Sept. 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles, coach Mike Shanahan said on Monday afternoon. Thus ends a months-long drama about whether the 23-year-old quarterback would be ready for Week 1 after undergoing right knee surgery on Jan. 9 to repair torn anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments.
