Virginia, Maryland churches set to reopen with restrictions eased

As coronavirus restrictions are eased in Maryland and Virginia, many church-goers will be returning to their pews for the first time in about two months to participate in corporate prayer and worship — but with fewer people, less singing and masks covering their noses and mouths.

Most of Maryland will stay under stay-at-home orders

At least half of Maryland residents will still be under stay-at-home orders Friday, when the state begins to reopen its economy after having shut down for nearly two months to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Montgomery County to extend stay-at-home order

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich announced Thursday that he will extend the county's stay-at-home order at 5 p.m. Friday, when a statewide reopening plan is set to begin.

Maryland ping pong firm now sells face masks in pandemic

Ping pong equipment and personal protective equipment may share the same initials, but they remain vastly different forms of PPE. Still, a Rockville distributor of table tennis supplies now is procuring and shipping millions of face masks to aid in the fight against the coronavirus.
