LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Heed warning signs, enforce laws

Democrats are pushing another senseless call for stricter gun control ("Biden eyes executive action to impose new gun control measures," Web, March 23). This happens after every mass shooting. They never focus on the reasons these acts take place. In many previous cases — including in San Bernardino, Calif., Fort Hood, Texas and Parkland, Fla. — there were warning signs about the individuals who would go on to do the shootings. However, they were either not followed up on or else were ignored by the FBI as well as the relevant state, city and school officials.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: More gun-control laws not the answer

President Biden has jumped on another mass killing as an opportunity to push gun-control laws ("Biden eyes executive action to impose new gun control measures," Web, March 23). Mr. Biden's partner in crime, Barack Obama, has called those who oppose the laws they want "cowardly." In my experience, those who call others names have no rational response.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Miller-Meeks won, fair and square

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks was elected to Congress by a six-vote margin. Her opponent lost every election challenge she mounted. Mrs. Miller-Meeks was seated and has served in the House since Jan. 3 — yet Democrats in the House seek to remove her pursuant to the power of the House to judge the "election" of its members under Article I, Section 5 of the U.S. Constitution. The House Democrats are not judging Mrs. Miller-Meeks under the election clause; they are trying to expel her from Congress.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: China has noted Biden weakness

The Communist government of China has no second thoughts about the efficacy of its form of governance, nor does it sense that its approach to international affairs will stumble against the Biden administration ("'No way to strangle China': Fiery rhetoric, clashes besiege U.S., Beijing at Alaska meeting," Web, March 18). It must feel that Barack Obama's policy of leading from behind is regnant once again now that the in-your-face Trump unpleasantness has passed.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Compassion is for the law-abiding

Compassion does not remedy lawless behavior ("Biden's illegal immigration agenda creates another child smuggling crisis," Web, March 15). Illegal immigration is lawlessness. The word illegal means contrary or forbidden by law.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Forced apologies defy free speech

President Biden said last weekend, "Our silence is complicity" ("Speak out:' Biden, Harris decry racism during Atlanta visit," Web, March 20). However, nowadays the power of speech has become less and less a freedom and more and more a chance to brainwash people into apologizing.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Police should treat victims as own kin

Capt. Jay Baker, a spokesman for the Atlanta-area Cherokee County sheriff's office, appeared to brush off with flippant remarks last week's murderous shooting spree that left dead multiple people, including six Asian women ("At least 7 killed in shooting attacks on 3 massage parlors," Web, March 16). Capt. Baker told reporters that the young, White suspect who professed to love guns and God was having a "really bad day."

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Where is justice for female athletes?

My heart goes out to the female athletes who have to compete against those with an unfair biological edge ("'Dispiriting': Track star's dream dashed by transgender rules," Web, March 14). All parents and coaches know that teen boys' testosterone levels increase at a higher rate than girls'.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: U.S. owes success to all who contribute

In contrast to many countries, the United States, with its prevalence of educational and career opportunities for all people and due to its diversity and openness, boasts a broad spectrum of educated, intelligent and successful citizens. This tends to promote harmony and equality.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Biden stumbles extend beyond stairs

The embarrassing display of President Biden's stumbling as he tried to maneuver the steps of Airforce One was another indication that his physical and cognitive abilities are fading. I'm sure this is being noted by the rest of the world and will affect they way they deal with the United States.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Asian-Americans must be wary of left

Scott Zipperele of The Heritage Foundation has given a very astute analysis of the #StopAsianHate campaign ("Asian-Americans should be skeptical of the #StopAsianHate campaign," Web, March 17). It shows that the political left is trying to pull Asians into their fold by stoking fear of attack.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Most Americans against illegal entry

While I understand Kay James' point in "Biden's illegal immigration agenda creates another child smuggling crisis" (Web, March 15), it's inconsistent with the views of the vast majority of Americans. While "many average Americans ... support more open immigration policies and amnesty programs ... out of a sense of compassion," most do not support illegal immigration -- nor do they support amnesty. A recent poll confirms that a majority of Americans are against amnesty for illegal aliens.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Amnesty ‘compassion’ ignores Americans

Yes, President Biden is the architect of this latest assault on our sovereignty ("Biden's illegal immigration agenda creates another child smuggling crisis," Web, March 15). However, we must also address Kay James' comment that many Americans support a more generous immigration policy because they are "compassionate." Unfortunately, these "compassionate" expansionists are failing to show any compassion for their fellow citizens, who are forced to compete with foreign workers -- legal and illegal -- for jobs and wages.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Stop senseless attacks

The recent attacks against our brothers and sisters in the Asian-American communities are heartbreaking. The physical assaults and recent killings are rooted in racism. They need to stop. We cannot be silent.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Create trans sporting events

News article after news article discusses the problem of males with gender confusion participating in sporting events against women athletes ("'Dispiriting': Track star's dream dashed by transgender rules," Web, March 14). It seems we live in an upside-down world.
