Although the 1967 Outer Space Treaty forbids any country from claiming the moon as its territory, it does not forbid the right of the U.S. to name it.

So President Trump should consider renaming the moon in honor of the country responsible for virtually every great scientific, technological and medical breakthrough of the past 125 years.

Americans should be constantly reminded of our unrivaled contribution to the advancement of civilization.
