The South Point Arena, is a proposed 9,000 seat capacity arena to serve the suburban Henry County, Georgia. The multi-purpose arena in McDonough, Georgia currently in the planning stages. It is part of the large $275,000,000 real estate development in McDonough located off Interstate 75 exit 218 on Georgia Highway 20. Construction could start in the Fall of 2008 and could open as early as Christmas 2009. The cost of the arena is projected to be $50,000,000. The Atlanta Journal Constitution says the arena would be much like Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, a suburb north of Atlanta. This will bring Broadway to Mcdonough. - Source: Wikipedia
