OK, here’s a little more detail on the thing I’m toying around with to improve our in-game coverage. As some of you know, I’m on Twitter during most games providing in-game updates, analysis and just chatting with fans. Tonight, we’re going to provide a live link here on the blog that turns all of those tweets, as well as some of your own commentary, into a running game thread. Those of you not on Twitter can follow along and comment here, and those or the who are on Twitter can check back later for the recap.

Here’s what we’ll do: In a subsequent post, I’ll throw up a link for the in-game thread, which will refresh itself on the blog throughout the night. We’ll still do our blog posts every three innings, but this will add in-game tweets to that. If you want to post something to the thread, you have three ways to do it:

—Comment directly in the thread

—Comment at the bottom of the blog post, as you would with any of our posts on Chatter

—Tag your tweets with #nats or #nationals.

I won’t give you the customary admonishment to keep it clean, but if you don’t, your post just won’t show up. So there you go.

Let me know what you think of this, and if there’s anything we can do to make it better. I’ll toy around with this the next couple days and make a determination from there.
