The Nationals have traded left-hander Joe Beimel to the Colorado Rockies, narrowly beating today’s 4 p.m. trade deadline. Not sure yet what they’re getting in return, but I’ll post it as soon as I find out.

UPDATED: Nick Johnson was just pulled out of the Nationals lineup and traded to the Marlins for minor-league lefty Aaron Thompson. More to come.
