As expected, things are a lot quieter around Maryland football now that a quarterback has been named and everyone is sticking around.

The gaggle of reporters was reduced to five yesterday, which is in the ballpark of a typical day. And the headlines we’re minimal.

My dead-tree edition contribution focuses on Maryland’s offensive line, which if everyone can shake off some nagging injuries should emerge as an unquestioned strength. Oddly enough, a unit that really is built for a dominant running game is faring far better in passing situations during camp.

Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun takes a peek at former holder/wide receiver Matt Goldberg, who is on an M Club scholarship and thus would count against Maryland’s scholarship count if he played football this year.
