It’s game week. All I can this: It’s about freakin’ time.

What does game week mean? For Maryland, lots more newspaper copy. Ralph Friedgen has to be pleased, at least until I ask him about injuries today.

The highlights:

* Here’s my dead-tree edition look at new offensive coordinator James Franklin, whose personality and experience with Friedgen make him an ideal fit.

* The Washington Post’s Steve Yanda writes about the impact of the tweaked defense and how it’s centered around Maryland’s LEO position.

* The Annapolis Capital’s John McNamara takes a look at some changes in the program.

* Up the highway, Delaware still hasn’t arrived at a quarterback decision between Ohio State transfer Rob Schoenhoft and redshirt freshman Lou Ritacco. So writes Martin Frank of the Wilmington News Journal.

And everyone in CP thought Ralph strung out that choice. Here’s betting Maryland isn’t the only team to use multiple quarterbacks on Saturday.
