Can’t believe I forgot to pass this along.

But it did slip my mind. Until now.

Maryland beat the weather (again) on Saturday, as coach Ralph Friedgen and his reading of the doppler radar moved him another step closer to earning an AMS seal of approval.

Given the threatening skies throughout the session and the incredibly charmed life he led this month in squeezing nearly as much practice as possible, I complimented him on his good fortune.

“Not much I can do wrong,” he boasted before pausing. “Except pick quarterbacks.”

Ralph then pointed out that was the opinion of others, cackled at his sarcasm and moved along to the issues of the day.

So while fans might disagree with last week’s QB choice of Jordan Steffy, you can be sure Friedgen isn’t so cloistered that he doesn’t know about his supporters’ dissension.
