Georgetown lacrosse was picked fourth in the Big East’s preseason coaches poll.

The Hoyas finished third in the league last year, going 4-2 in the conference and 7-7 overall. Georgetown missed the NCAA tournament for the fourth straight season in 2011.

Midfielder Zack Angel and attackman Travis Comeau were picked for the preseason all-conference team. Angel scored 15 goals while starting 12 games last season. Comeau ranked second on the Hoyas with 30 goals last season. He also had five assists and shot 46.9 percent.

Syracuse, the top seed in the last year’s NCAA tournament, was picked to win the league, followed by Notre Dame and Villanova. St. John’s was fifth, with Rutgers and Providence occupying the final two spots.
