Maryland basketball assistant Dalonte Hill was suspended for the next two games after being arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Coach Mark Turgeon read a statement at the start of his media session Friday that asserted the Maryland athletic department is helping to gather the facts of the incident and would handle the matter internally once the inquiry was complete.

A search of the online Maryland judiciary case search did not yield a recent arrest for Hill.
Hill is in his first season at Maryland. He previously was an assistant at Charlotte and Kansas State. He has significant recruiting ties to the Washington area, and his hire was considered a coup in that regard when he was added to the Terrapins’ staff in May.
Hill was previously arrested for DUI in 2008 while he was an assistant at Kansas State. Hill was suspended for that incident as well.
