Alex Ovechkin called himself “99 percent.” Bruce Boudreau said it is “a possibility” that he could play tomorrow night in New Jersey. Guess he’s getting pretty close, after all.

Boudreau said Milan Jurcina is out with a muscle pull in his lower body. He doesn’t expect Jurcina to play tomorrow, either, but didn’t rule him out for Tuesday against the Rangers.

Jeff Schultz will be a healthy scratch tonight, according to the coach. He stayed on the ice with Ovechkin and Jose Theodore after the skate was over (Semyon Varlamov will start against the Wild.)

Boyd Gordon said he hopes to play tonight, but Boudreau said either Gordon or David Steckel will play but not both. Boudreau said Steckel’s flight back to DC will land “soon” but isn’t sure if he will be ready to play. By only having Gordon or Steckel, but not both, it means Mathieu Perreault will play his fifth NHL game tonight. Boudreau said he likes the offensive element Perreault brings that Gordon and Steckel do not.

Here’s what the lines should look like (provided Boudreau doesn’t change them, of course):
