If the guys on the ice all play tonight (and Mike Green’s late scratch Saturday proves it isn’t set in stone), here’s where we stand through three games (only the 40 guys currently in camp are going to be on this list):
Three games: A. Gordon, Giroux
SEE RELATED:
Two games: Clark, Aucoin, Backstrom, Beagle, Bradley, Bourque, Knuble, Laich, Steckel, Alzner, Carlson, Collins, Erskine, Schultz, Pothier
One game: Ovechkin, Semin, Green, Joudrey, B. Gordon, Laing, Morrison, Osala, Perreault, Wilson, Pinizzotto, Jurcina, McNeil, Morrisonn, Poti, Sloan
No games: Nylander, Bouchard, Sugden
There are a couple of things that stick out here:
* Still no Michael Nylander. It would be hard for him to earn a spot in the lineup without playing. It would also be showcase him for another NHL/European club if he doesn’t play.
* Only one game for Tyler Sloan and Oskar Osala, but three for Andrew Gordon and Alexandre Giroux. If Sloan doesn’t play Wednesday it is probably a bigger deal (there are 12 defensemen in camp, so maybe six tonight and six on Wednesday).
