The Capitol Christmas tree is on the move.

An 88-foot-tall Engelmann spruce was loaded onto a truck from the Colville National Forest in eastern Washington state on Friday and will eventually make its way the National Mall, according to the Spokane Spokesman-Review.

The state sent a Pacific silver fir to the Capitol’s front lawn in 2006, but this year’s spruce is the first one from the eastern half of the state, the newspaper said.

A website, Capitolchristmastree.com, allows users to track the tree’s “5,000+ mile journey” to the nation’s capital.
