First lady Michelle Obama took her 50th birthday in stride Friday, smiling for a photo with her new AARP card.
“Excited to join Barack in the 50+ club today… check out my @AARP card!” she said in a Twitter message.

It is signed “mo,” a sign the first lady did the tweeting herself.
“Welcome!” tweeted back AARP, a membership group that promotes qualify of life issues and benefits for people over 50 years old.
Mrs. Obama, a lawyer known for her “Let’s Move” campaign and keen fashion sense, is grabbing headlines around her milestone birthday.
President Obama turned 50 back in 2011.
