The Wizards will start Mike Miller at shooting guard tonight and hopefully get a boost from his threat on the perimeter and ball movement skills.

But Antawn Jamison and Randy Foye will miss tonight’s game. Jamison is still sick with the virus that has caused him to miss the last two practices and this morning’s shootaround. And Foye’s sprained ankle isn’t strong enough for him to give it a go either.

In addition to Miller, the Wizards will start Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, Andray Blatche and Brendan Haywood.

The Pistons will start PG Rodney Stuckey, SG Ben Gordon, SF Jonas Jerebko, PF Charlie Villanueva and C Ben Wallace.

Flip Saunders said he expects to use Earl Boykins a good bit tonight, and hopefully keep from overtaxing Gilbert Arenas.

A strong start will be key for the Wizards because they’re without much of a scoring threat on their bench with Blatche starting at power forward. But the second half of games has been the problem for Washington, so it will be key that they get solid mintues out of their reserves so their starters can remain fresh for clutch time.
