The office of president-elect Barack Obama has created a Web site listing donors supporting his inauguration committee.

“In keeping with President-elect Obama’s commitment to changing the way business is done in Washington, the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) is taking unprecedented steps to insure transparency in the public reporting of donors to a Presidential Inaugural Committee,” states the Web site. “This chart will allow you to view, sort, and search virtually real-time information on all donors contributing over $200 to the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee.”

During the presidential campaign, a tech-savvy Obama called for the creation of a cabinet-level position overseeing implementation of technology into government. We haven’t heard much since his election about this potentially new post, though of course the cabinet is still being assembled.
