Sen. Kay Hagan, North Carolina Democrat, told women at an EMILY’s list gathering that she would work to allow women to enter the Senate swimming pool.


During a gathering in Washington today to celebrate president-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, the freshly-minted senator told the progressive women activitsts that she was shocked to find out women were banned from the pool facility.


“I’m really not kidding,” Hagan told the booing crowd. “So what do you think one of my first bills ought to be?”
