The 80-man roster just cost Rian Wallace his job. The former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker got hurt for a second time this month in Saturday’s victory over the New York Jets and was just waived/injured. Wallace’s replacement is former Maryland linebacker David Holloway, who was on Arizona’s practice squad most of last season as a rookie. Holloway has a real cool background. His father Brian was an All-Pro tackle with the New England Patriots. His maternal grandfather, John McKenzie, was a longtime star wing for the Boston Bruins. Brian Holloway made the most amazing play I ever saw in high school. When I was a senior at BCC and he was a senior at Churchill, our fullback Morris Morton broke free from our 5-yard line and loped 90 yards before finally being dragged down by the massive Holloway at their 5-yard line. A defensive tackle chasing down a back after a 90-yard run! Final score, Churchill 48, BCC 0. —
